由今日起，Uber 將於 App 內增設全新嘅 Uber Flash 交通選擇，為香港市民提供一個既方便、又優質嘅服務。只要你選擇 Flash 服務後，Uber 就會為你配對最近上車位置嘅 UberX 或的士司機夥伴，啱曬分秒必爭嘅乘客。以後撳一個掣叫到兩種車，大家搭車就更方便啦！

依家喺同一個 Uber App 入面，輸入目的地後，就可以選擇新登場嘅 Flash，我哋會為你配對最近嘅的士或 UberX 司機夥伴，以後搭車就唔駛再左諗右諗！

優質：Uber 司機夥伴服務質素保證 

為保證服務質素，所有喺 Uber 香港平台上線嘅司機夥伴同車輛必須符合指定要求。我哋亦鼓勵所有司機夥伴及乘客為行程評分，以保證 Flash 嘅服務水平。同時我哋嘅客戶服務專員亦會跟進意見，如果乘客遺失物件或需要協助，我哋會隨時為你跟進。

Uber Flash 如何收費？

Uber Flash 嘅車費設定將會同 UberX 一樣。選擇 Flash 之後，無論你搭嘅係的士定 UberX，車程收費金額、計算方法同埋付款方式都會同現時 UberX 車費一樣。輸入目的地及選擇 Flash 之後，你會見到已包含道路收費嘅車費估算。而行程結束嘅時候，Uber App 會自動根據行程開始前同意嘅車費向你嘅信用卡收費，方便快捷。

如何使用Uber 「Flash」：

打開 Uber App

在「目的地？」空格內輸入你需前往的地方

點選「Flash」，並按「確認」

App 會提示你系統將為你配對最就近之的士或 UberX 司機夥伴

再次點按「確認」

如成功與的士司機夥伴配對，你將透過電郵接收到相應的租用紀錄

當行程結束，費用將自動從你綁定之信用卡帳戶中扣除

你可以在 Uber App 內給予司機夥伴讚賞或添加貼士，電子收據亦將在稍後傳送至你的電子郵箱。

常見問題

Uber Flash 嘅行程可唔可以用優惠碼呢？

除非優惠碼使用條款有特別注明「不適用於 Flash」，所有乘車優惠碼都適用於 Flash 嘅行程（ Uber Eats 優惠碼除外）。

咁以後仲可唔可以選擇 UberX 呢？

放心啦，其他 Uber 既有服務，包括 UberX、Black、UberXL 及「關懷優步 Assist」將繼續如常運作。Flash 同 UberX 喺 App 裡面分別為兩個選擇掣，只要你按自己嘅需要選擇最適合嘅產品，我哋會隨時為你服務。

搭 Flash 可以用信用卡付款嗎？

無論我哋為你配對到的士定 UberX，都唔駛擔心帶唔夠現金搭車，你可以輕鬆用信用卡付款。司機夥伴載你到達目的地後，Uber App 會自動根據行程開始前同意的車費，從信用卡上扣除。Uber 亦會將行程單據電郵給你，無需再保留列印版本。

選擇 Flash 嘅話，我可以享受 Uber App 咩服務呢？

Uber 會繼續為乘客及司機夥伴提供相互評分機制及乘客支援服務，以保持服務質素。乘客於 Uber App 內選擇 Flash 服務，無論你配對到嘅係的士定UberX，你亦能繼續享用所有既有功能，包括即時定價、即時位置分享、預計抵達時間、平分車資、應用程式內通訊、報告及認領失物以及電子支付車資等等。

備註：關於車費、附加費及隧道費

Flash之車費設定將會同 UberX 一樣。

若你在系統為你配對司機夥伴後取消行程，則可能需要支付 HK$20取消費用。

若司機夥伴抵達上車地點 3 分鐘後，等候時間費用便會開始計算。等候時間費用按每分鐘 HK$2 計算。等候時間費用會自動套用至你的行程，而你亦將會在行程收據中看到這項收費。

About Assist

Assist is an option designed for anyone in need, especially seniors, expectant mothers, people with disabilities or going through rehabilitation, and those who may just feel more comfortable with an extra hand. With the push of a button, you will be matched with well trained Assist driver-partners.

All Assist services are provided by top-rated driver-partners who have completed hands-on and in-person educational sessions led by Bamboos Professional Nursing Services, SILENCE, and Hong Kong Blind Union,  authorized and endorsed by Hong Kong Health Care Federation. During the sessions, driver-partners go through different exercises including demonstrations on how to fold and unfold wheelchairs and how to guide people with visual impairments.

Who is eligible?

Assist is for people who need an extra hand e.g. disabled, visually or hearing impaired, seniors, and expectant mothers. To make sure these riders can promptly receive additional assistance during their commute, request Assist only when there is genuine need.

What is the fare?

Assist is a special service that offers assistance to senior citizens and individuals with accessibility needs. With just a push of a button, they can request rides at uberX fare.

FAQ

1. Will my wheelchair or assistive device fit into the vehicle?

Most vehicles are able to accomodate foldable wheelchairs whereas vehicles come in all shapes and sizes. To ensure that your wheelchair or other assistive device will fit, contact your driver-partner directly after you have confirmed your Assist ride.

2. Can I schedule a ride?

We are available 24 hours a day. You can instantly request for an Assist ride.

3. Can I accompany the rider in need?

Of course! Other than accompanying them, you can also request an Assist ride for them by using the “Request for a guest” function. 

4. Is uberASSIST available in other cities?

Currently, Assist is available in more than 40 cities, including Taipei, Sydney, Toronto, and San Francisco. So don’t worry if you’re out of town.

5. Can I request for a specific pick-up and drop-off spot to ensure a smooth and convenient transition?

Simply enter the pick-up and drop-off spot and your driver-partner will be there. If you have any specific requests, you can also contact your driver-partner directly.

Remarks:

Most of the Assist vehicles are not equipped with hydraulic ramps or lifts for electric or motorized wheelchairs.

Assist driver-partner may take 5-15 minutes from where they were to your specified pick up spot.

Convenience: just one tap to request Taxi or UberX

From now on, all you have to do is tap on the Flash feature in the Uber app to access both Taxi and UberX. We’ll bring you to your destination with the fastest and closest option.

Quality: ensuring a top-notch trip experience

To ensure quality service, all Uber driver-partners and their vehicles in Hong Kong must meet certain criteria. We also encourage drivers and riders to rate their trips to keep each other accountable. In case of lost belongings or any other issues, our team is always ready to help.

How are Flash trip fares calculated?

Trip fares are calculated the same way for both Flash and UberX. 

The cost of the trip is the same between Flash and UberX. Whether you are matched with a Taxi or an UberX, your trip fare and payment method will be the same. After you’ve entered your dropoff point and selected Flash, you will see a fare estimate (including toll fees). After the ride, the fare agreed upon before your journey will be charged automatically to your credit card—a quick and convenient way to pay.

How it works

Open the Uber app.

In Where to? enter your destination.

Select Flash then Confirm Flash.

A pop-up message will let you know that you will be matched with the closest Taxi or UberX.

Click on Confirm to request a ride.

If you are matched with a Taxi, you'll receive a record of hire by email.

Upon completion of each trip, the fare will be charged to your credit card.

Rate your driver and add an optional tip. You will receive an electronic receipt by email afterward.

Frequently asked questions

Can promo codes be used on Flash rides?

Unless otherwise stated, all promo codes can be used on Flash trips (excluding Uber Eats promo codes).

Is UberX going to be available in the future?

Don’t worry—all other Uber services will remain the same, including UberX, UberBlack, UberXL, and Assist. Flash and UberX will remain 2 different options on the app. Just select your desired option and request a ride.

Can credit cards be used to pay for Flash rides?

Whether you are matched with a Taxi or an UberX, you can pay with your credit card, so don’t worry about not having enough cash. After you arrive at your destination, the fare agreed upon before your journey will be charged automatically to your credit card. You will receive an electronic receipt by email afterward, so you don’t have to keep a physical copy.

What Uber app services can we expect from Flash?

Our mutual rating system and customer support infrastructure will remain in effect to maintain standards of quality. No matter whether you are matched with a Taxi or an UberX, you will continue to enjoy all existing features within the Uber app, including upfront pricing, live GPS location sharing, estimated time to destination (ETD), split fare, in-app communication, lost and found reporting, electronic payment, and more.

In addition, 60% of respondents believe that the government should take steps to encourage ride sharing developments in its smart city blueprint.

Émilie Potvin, Uber’s Head of Public Policy for North Asia said: “Our goal is to provide a meaningful alternative to car ownership but we need a combination of public and private partnerships to make this vision a reality. As the Hong Kong government pursues its smart city ambitions we urge them to consider smart mobility. Urban planners tackling traffic congestion issues, and Hongkongers travelling around the city could equally benefit from Uber’s technology and data, as well as more transport options in the city.”

Elevating industry standards to empower consumers

Today, consumers are empowered to demand better quality of services from providers. When asked about their opinion on existing point-to-point services, 64% are of the opinion that taxi services remained stagnant in the past year, and only 11% felt that the services have improved.

In Hong Kong, taxi driver-partners are seeing an increase in their daily earnings while on the Uber App. Aside from boosting earnings, Uber also sees its App as a way to help taxi drivers increase utilization rates and drive service advancement in the industry. Both riders and driver-partners can also gain from Uber’s mutual rating system, intelligent matching, cashless payment, dynamic pricing, in-app mapping, safety features, and 24/7 customer service.

Hong Kong’s Consumer Council, in a 2017 proposal on regulating e-hailing apps, also recommended that the government reform its approach to e-hailing and taxi services in order to raise the bar in service quality and provide consumers with more choice.

The telephone survey, conducted from March 25-27 in 2019 by HKUPOP, polled 515 Hong Kong residents, aged 18 and above, to gauge their satisfaction level with Hong Kong’s personalized point-to-point transport services. The survey was commissioned by Uber to better understand the stance and opinions of Hongkongers as they look to open discussions with stakeholders towards the legalization of ride-sharing services locally.

Flash 如何收費？

Flash 嘅車費設定將會同 UberX 一樣。選擇 Flash 之後，無論你搭嘅係的士定 UberX，車程收費金額、計算方法同埋付款方式都會同現時 UberX 車費一樣。輸入目的地及選擇 Flash 之後，你會見到已包含道路收費嘅車費估算。而行程結束嘅時候，Uber App 會自動根據行程開始前同意嘅車費向你嘅信用卡收費，方便快捷。

點選「Flash」，並按「確認」

常見問題

Flash 嘅行程可唔可以用優惠碼呢？

除非優惠碼使用條款有特別注明「不適用於 Flash」，所有乘車優惠碼都適用於 Flash 嘅行程（ Uber Eats 優惠碼除外）。

咁以後仲可唔可以選擇 UberX 呢？

放心啦，其他 Uber 既有服務，包括 UberX、Black、UberXL 及「關懷優步 Assist」將繼續如常運作。Flash 同 UberX 喺 App 裡面分別為兩個選擇掣，只要你按自己嘅需要選擇最適合嘅產品，我哋會隨時為你服務。

搭 Flash 可以用信用卡付款嗎？

無論我哋為你配對到的士定 UberX，都唔駛擔心帶唔夠現金搭車，你可以輕鬆用信用卡付款。司機夥伴載你到達目的地後，Uber App 會自動根據行程開始前同意的車費，從信用卡上扣除。Uber 亦會將行程單據電郵給你，無需再保留列印版本。

Uber 會繼續為乘客及司機夥伴提供相互評分機制及乘客支援服務，以保持服務質素。乘客於 Uber App 內選擇 Flash 服務，無論你配對到嘅係的士定UberX，你亦能繼續享用所有既有功能，包括即時定價、即時位置分享、預計抵達時間、平分車資、應用程式內通訊、報告及認領失物以及電子支付車資等等。
